It?s become a repetitive headline that is making homeowners and real estate professionals breathing a little easier these days: Home Prices in Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario Increase.
CoreLogic, in its newest home price index, noted a 5.2 percent increase in September on home sales prices across the Inland area from one year earlier. There?s also been a 0.9 percent increase from the month before. The data includes distressed sales.
The September report puts the region right in line with the nationwide average, according to the CoreLogic?s analysis released today, Nov. 6.
With the sale of homes not listed as a short sale or Real Estate Owned (REO) property taken out of the mix, year-over-year prices rose 6.7 percent in September, compared to one year earlier and 5.2 percent in August, compared to August 2011.
