The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra is pleased to present ?Out of This World?, directed by our outstanding conductor, Maestro Fouad Fakhouri.? Journey into the cosmos with the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra for a musical odyssey with selections from E.T., Star Trek, The Planets, and a world premiere of ?Sun Ra and the Apogee of Saturn? by Dr. Keith Dippre, professor of composition at Methodist University.

Here are a few of the selections of family favorites from ?Out of This World? that are sure to capture celestial imagination:

The Fayettteville Symphony Orchestra is pleased to be collaborating with Dr. Keith Dippre, once again, on a new world premiere written specifically for the ?Out of This World? concert.

????????? Journey of Music from the Movies

Maestro Fakhouri and the orchestra will bring to life this memorable music from the movies.? Music from the very popular ?Star Trek? movies and the marches from ?Superman? and ?Indiana Jones?.

?

????????? Benjamin Britten?s? ?A Young Guide to the Orchestra?

This piece will introduce our young audience members to the orchestra in a fun and educational fashion.? Narrator, Ken Smith, will introduce the different orchestra families.

????????? ?Mars from the Planets?

Gustav Holst composed this dramatic piece, which audiences will recognize from the movie, ?The Right Stuff?.
